| Contents | We have been asked to clarify the news article appearing in the New Straits Times, Business Times Page B1, on 31 May 2009 entitled “AirAsia mulls share sale to fund expansion”. The Company continues to closely monitor its capital structure needed to appropriately support its current operations and future fleet expansion and level of profitability. The Company is therefore not averse to turning to its shareholders for a rights issue, or long-term investors under a placement of new shares, should the Company’s growth requires it to raise more cash. The Board of Directors will take into account recent developments in the equity and debt capital markets and shall deliberate the various recapitalisation alternatives. Any decision on this to be recommended to the shareholders for their consideration and approval will be made in the best interest of both the Company and its shareholders. |
