We refer to the news article entitled “AirAsia optimistic of 10pc growth” which was featured in New Straits Times on 30 May 2015 in particular referring to the following paragraph:

“She said the low-cost airline is looking at growing its capacity by 10 per cent, which should translate into a higher growth for the company's earnings."

"We expect to see a capacity growth of 10 per cent this year... so bottom line and top line should be a lot better than that," Aireen said at the launch of AirAsia Runway Ready For Young Designers, here, yesterday.”

AirAsia wishes to clarify that the statement made by the Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Aireen Omar was in reference to the capacity growth of AirAsia Group (“Group”) and not of the Company. It is merely an expression of the internal management’s target and aspirations for the Group and was not an estimate of the Company’s revenue or profit.   

The Company will not make prediction of its future revenue or profit without complying with the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.
