AirAsia #GirlsCanDoAnything Campaign Empowers Women

The world's best low-cost airline, AirAsia continues its effort in inspiring young female talents through its #GirlsCanDoAnything campaign. 30 female Engineering students from Eleventh College, Universiti Putra Malaysia were invited for a special sharing session with AirAsia Allstars at the travel3Sixty° 10th Anniversary Carnival held in Fahrenheit 88, Kuala Lumpur, last Sunday.

The aim of the sharing session is to expose the young girls to the world of aviation, to educate and empower them to pursue their own dreams. Three AirAsia Allstars - Senior First Officer, Jessica Lee Suk Jin, Licensed Aircraft Engineer, Nur Husnina Binti Ismail and Crewing Duty Executive, Nurul Aishah Binti Mohd Jafri shared their inspiring career journey during the sharing session.

The students were enlightened with the insights of the aviation industry as well as valuable advice for the their future career. In additional, there were also treated with fun games at the carnival and walked home with exciting goodies.

Kick started in year 2016, the #GirlsCanDoAnything campaign is a women empowerment initiative driven by AirAsia to inspire young female talents in realising their dreams. Led by none other than its female Chief Executive Officer Aireen Omar, the campaign features AirAsia female Allstars from various departments and positions as a real example of girls can do anything. To date, the campaign has inspired more than 500 girls and is also supported by the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development.
