AirAsia awarded Gold at the Putra Brand Awards 2017 for eighth consecutive years

AirAsia, the world's best low cost airline has been awarded as a Gold recipient under the Transport, Travel & Tourism category for eight consecutive years at the Putra Brand Awards 2017.

This marked the airline's continuous leading presence in the country's aviation and travel industry. The Putra Brand Awards which measures brands by consumer preference, is endorsed by MATRADE and chosen by the people in Malaysia.

Aireen Omar, Chief Executive Officer of AirAsia Berhad received the award at the Putra Brand Awards 2017 Ceremony held in Kuala Lumpur.

Aireen Omar said, "We are humbled and honoured to have received the gold award for eight consecutive years, which truly reflect a higher level of service and satisfaction by Malaysians. As a low cost carrier, we believe that not only should air travel be affordable to all, but also that low-cost can still mean high-quality. It is truly rewarding to see that our extensive route network, low fares and the great service offered have been appreciated by travellers. These achievements have fully manifested our continuous commitment to strive for excellence in services and also a great encouragement to motivate us to attain even better performance. Organised by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia (4As), the Putra Brand Awards is one of the highest regarded recognition for brand excellence in the country. Utilising a robust consumer research methodology developed by partner Effective Measure, consumers determined Malaysia's favourite brands within multiple categories, with each category being awarded a Gold, Silver and Bronze for the most preferred brands.
