The roles and responsibilities of robust leadership teams and governing bodies within an organisation is crucial for the seamless assimilation and effective implementation of sustainability initiatives across all business operations. Sustainability at AirAsia Group is governed by a Sustainability Working Group Committee (“SWGC”) comprising Group Heads of relevant departments and chaired by the Head of Sustainability. The SWGC helps to identify, discuss, and review the implementation of sustainability measures across the Group. All sustainability matters are carried out together by the relevant departments, facilitated by Group Sustainability. Progress made in 2019 and plans going forward were reported to the Board in February 2020.
